Our Qualifications
Eric Smith has operated Eric Smith Financial Services since 1993 and has been in the financial services industry since 1986.
In May 1981, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and received his Master’s degree from Ball State University in August 1985.
In 1994, Eric earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation. He is also a Chartered Life Underwriter™, Chartered Financial Consultant™, and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™.
He has taught CFP® education courses in the Executive Education Department of Florida Atlantic University since 1994 and is also currently teaching Estate Planning for the University of California-Irvine. He also taught for the University of Miami and The American College and has created two CFP® online courses for Grantham University.
He is dedicated to developing lasting relationships with all of his clients.
He believes in helping each person become confident in assessing his or her financial goals and participating in the financial management process.
